Are humans superior to other species?

Summary of an article by Titus Rivas

Humans are often considered superior due to anthropocentric beliefs, attributing special qualities to humans. However, physically, humans lag behind in senses and abilities compared to other species. Mental abilities, including abstract reasoning and language, set humans apart.
While animals display moral consciousness, humans translate moral insights into explicit ethical systems.

Moral superiority is not guaranteed in practice, as humans can exhibit cruelty. The concept of humans having exclusive spiritual access is questioned, advocating for recognition of spiritual kinship with other species.

Although humans have unique attributes, intrinsic value remains equal among all creatures with or without subjective experiences.

Pride should coexist with humility.
